    Paul Stark for Congress

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

Take a look at how the people of La Crosse feel about Mr. RK now (click on link below). Mr. K said he would not represent his constituents because they were"angry." I'm a constituent and I am very angry about this. He doesn't care if we are angry - he's basically saying to you and I "tough luck to you buster. Your gonna pay and I'm not gonna listen to you. And, I'm gonna win again this November 4 and there's nothing you can do about it. Ha Ha."

This is a matter of fact - to him at least; he is so secure in his reelection (in his mind) that he thumbs his nose at you and me and believes we will obediently reelected him in November. Are you going to let that happen? I'm doing everything in my power to prevent his staying in office.

You know, it was just a few weeks ago that Mr. RK said that drilling for oil is a fraud perpetuated on the American people. How bogus is that? I wrote to the La X Tribune that RK was the fraud for not being straight with us about drilling. I was right. The man is a fraud and will not stand on his own convictions. He stands on Nancy Pelosi's convictions. Doesn't he know that WE are his boss, not that gal from San Fransisco? Obviously not.

RK said we needed to spend our economic stimulus package money to buy energy efficient appliances and "spaghetti fluorescent light bulb" to save money - that was called his "spend green to save green initiative." Only a 12 year government employee would say you can save money by spending more!

The 12 year incumbent from the great city of La Crosse just let down all of his constituents. This $700 billion "bailout" became an $850 billion pork laden boondoggle. This man told us that he was a "reformer" last spring and would fight pork. As you can hopefully see by now this man has no spine as he voted for the false bailout and the inclusion of $150 billion in Congressional pork. How much $$ did RK have in that bill? If we were in such a calamitous situation, why did they see fit to spend even more of our money? I know a lot of families who could use some $$ and $150 billion would go a long way.

By the way, the "Armageddon Bailout Bill" was first a 3 page document at $700 billion. Now it is a 474 page document at $850 billion. Do you really believe that we have seen the end of this? This will become so large that we will never get out of it UNLESS, UNLESS he is replaced and we reverse this terrible decision with new representation in Western Wisconsin and throughout the country.

I was in a parade today in Black River Falls and a liberal Democrat said they would never vote for me because I'm a conservative Republican. I asked if RK's $850 billion bailout would not change their mind, and they said, "Oh yeah, forget it, I'll vote for you." RK has shafted the people of Western Wisconsin and the people get it. Take a look for yourself to see what the bill is loaded with. http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/earmarking_while_rome_burns_more_on_the_porked_up_bail_out_bill/

Congress tells us we need more money for: highways, bridges, schools, the children, health care, aid to foriegn countries, etc.. WHAT ABOUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, CONGRESS? When are you going to step up to the plate for US? They will not fund things that would be good for you and I right now but they give presents and goodies to all the lobbyists that lavished them with money. This is why we need the FAIR TAX. We must take power away from them because they do not represent us!

Remember, RK has accepted $187,000 from his lobby friends of big banks and big insurance companies http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/pacs.php?cycle=2008&cid=N00004403.

If you and I spend more than what we have in the bank we would be broke and bankrupt. Washington is spending and spending with no assets - OUR NATION IS BANKRUPT both financially and morally. And they keep spending! It must stop now!

This is the very type of thing that has been happening in Washington for decades that lead to my running for Congress. I am a working man who is not given a dime from the United Socialistic States of America. However, no dime given to me, but many dollars taken from me and given to others who have no right to that money. RK believes, like OBAMA, "from each according to their abilities, to each according to their need."

If you think things are bad now, just imagine a nation governed by Obama, Reid, Pelosi and your shameful "public" servant RK. It does not have to be this way though.

VOTE PAUL STARK FOR CONGRESS ON NOVEMBER 4 AND I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES. I AM THE PERSON WHO WILL GET OUT THERE AND WORK HARD FOR YOU, THE TAXPAYERS OF THE THIRD DISTRICT OF WISCONSIN!

    Pro-Life Wisconsin Announces Endorsements

  • Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund Announces Endorsements

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 31, 2008 Contact: Matt Sande, Director, Victory Fund PAC, (262) 352-0890 or
Mary Matuska, President, Victory Fund PAC, (608) 201-8059

Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund Announces 2008 Candidate Endorsements

Candidate endorsements by Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund political action committee (PAC) are now available to be viewed on the Web at www.prolifewisconsin.org. The Victory Fund PAC has endorsed a total of 52 candidates for state office in the upcoming fall primary and general elections. Included on the endorsement page is a message on what it means to be “100% pro-life.”

“These candidates support the ‘no exceptions’ pro-life philosophy and we are proud to endorse them,” said Mary Matuska, president of the Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC. “Only when we have lawmakers who will not discriminate against those preborn children who are politically unpopular – those conceived in rape or incest, for example – will we see an end to the scandal of abortion. Pro-Life Wisconsin holds high the banner of total protection for all preborn children, and thankfully, more and more candidates for elected office meet this standard.”

Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund supports candidates for public office who demonstrate a commitment to protect each and every innocent human life – in all circumstances and at all stages of development. To be “100% pro-life” is to know human life begins at fertilization and to therefore understand there may never be a legal exception to an innocent child’s inalienable right to life. Accordingly, it requires defending the child conceived in rape, the child whose mother’s life is perceived to be in danger, the disabled preborn baby, the tiny embryo vulnerable to experimental research or hormonal birth control, or the “terminally ill” patient who is viewed as a “burden” on society.

“We are called to stand behind these candidates who are willing to stand behind 100% of the babies,” said Matuska. “With the pro-life majority at stake in the Wisconsin Assembly, 2008 is a critical election year. We are galvanizing our members to actively support our endorsed pro-life candidates and push them on to victory.”

For further information, please feel free to call the Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund political action committee, (262) 352-0890.

2008 Elections: What does it mean to be “100% pro-life”?
Around election time, the true colors of the pro-life movement come into sharp relief. Unfortunately, embarrassing contradictions are often revealed. For many years, some pro-life organizations have allowed the candidates to define what it means to be pro-life. A candidate who supports regulating abortion or opposes taxpayer funding of abortion yet supports the killing of some preborn children is not pro-life. A truly pro-life candidate cannot pick and choose which children should have the right to life and which children can be killed.

Pro-life means defending each and every innocent human being at all stages of development and in all circumstances, including those whom it is not “politically correct” to protect. For example: the child conceived in rape; the child whose mother’s life is perceived to be in danger; the disabled preborn baby; the tiny embryo vulnerable to experimental research or hormonal birth control; or the terminally ill who are viewed as “burdens” on society. It is clear life begins at conception, so it is clear there may never be an exception to an innocent person’s inalienable right to life.

Pro-Life Wisconsin has held high the banner of total protection for all preborn children. Because we insist on this high standard, more and more candidates for elected office are 100% pro-life. We stand behind those candidates who stand behind 100% of the babies. And we lovingly but firmly challenge and educate those candidates who don’t believe every child has a right to live.

    Paul Stark editorial

From Paul Stark: I have sent an editorial reply to the local papers regarding Mr. Kind's recent visit to Eau Claire.~~Paul Stark
    www.starkforcongress.com paul@starkforcongress.com

As the Republican Congressional Candidate of Wisconsin’s third Congressional District, I strongly disagree with Rep. Ron Kind (D-La Crosse) and his comments during a recent visit to Eau Claire touting his “Buy Green to Save Green” energy initiative. Kind is encouraging American’s to spend their Economic Stimulus checks on energy efficient appliances and light bulbs. According to Kind, “that would return savings to you for many years to come.” The visit was in response to high gas and fuel prices.

Perhaps he does not realize that high gas prices have nothing to do with energy efficient appliances and light bulbs. We use electricity to power appliances, light bulbs and batteries in hybrid cars. Almost all the electricity we use is from the use of our vast reserves of coal. It is unbelievable that a sitting member of Congress should try and tell us that we need to buy energy efficient appliances and light bulbs to reduce the high costs of gasoline and other fuels. We could turn off all our appliances and we would still have high gasoline prices. What should we do about high gas prices? Stop putting oil into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve? That would help but common sense tells us we need to expand and utilize our known oil reserves to create more supply.

The 40 people who met with Kind told him they felt we need to drill for more oil offshore and in ANWAR. Kind responded that oil companies have 3,000 unused drilling permits and that coastal states resist offshore drilling. I contend that we need a proactive Congress that will allow our nation to drill for offshore oil. Right now China, Venezuela and Mexico are increasing their drilling footprint in the Gulf of Mexico – but we aren’t. We then go out and purchase oil from those countries. This makes no sense at all. Our Congress has been very weak in crafting a strong energy policy. As a nation, we have not opened new sites for oil, we have not built a new oil refinery in over 30 years, and we have not built a new nuclear power plant in nearly 30 years. We currently import 1 million barrels of refined gasoline a day because we don’t have the refining capacity. This is way beyond common sense.

The 12 year incumbent tells us he opposed the rebate checks because the country could not afford them. Then why on Earth did he VOTE for them? This is another fine example of Mr. Kind saying one thing and doing another. Can anyone say “flip flopper”? According to Kind, “we’re going to borrow the money from China to pay Saudi Arabia.” Well, we let China drill for oil off the coast of Cuba, and we import 12% of our oil from the Saudi’s. Maybe if we had a mature energy policy in place we could use our own oil.

Touting “green” policies will not give us the energy independence our growing nation requires. Global warming, if it exists, is the de jour cause of many politicians like Mr. Kind and extreme environmentalists who don’t care how their cause affects our economy and the good people of Western Wisconsin. Carbon dioxide levels are proven to be a lagging indicator to warming; it does not precede warming as our frightened politicians want to pretend. It’s time for real leadership. We are tired of Congress’ lip service.

Our nation needs leaders with bold ideas who want to return power back to “We the People” and away from all those Washington lobbyists who are paying these Congressmen huge sums of money to get “their” politicians re-elected. We need oil to run our economy. We need light bulbs that aren’t hazardous to our health (fluorescent). And we need the Fair Tax to energize the economy and make the lives of the poor and near poor much better. The Fair Tax would take power away from Congress’ favorite people - lobbyists. The constituents of Western Wisconsin deserve better. It’s time for common sense leadership

Sign the "Supporting the Contract with Conservatives" Petition

  • Sign the "Supporting the Contract with Conservatives" Petition! The party of Ronald Reagan -- a collection of social and fiscal conservatives -- saw all their work come together with the Republican Revolution of 1994. Republicans came to power through their dedication to core, conservative principles.

Since that time, the conservative base has seen the Republican Party go astray. From runaway spending, to big government programs, to assaults on our First Amendment rights to amnesty for illegal aliens, conservatives have become disheartened, and the time has come for dramatic change.

America can thrive under conservative leadership and government. The Republican Party is best equipped to deliver this kind of leadership, but too often, it has not. The time has come when conservative voters can no longer be taken for granted. Conservatives need something more than simple assurances. For our time, effort, money, and votes, we need a pledge. We need a pledge from our presidential nominee to uphold the core Republican values that built this party, and which have taken a backseat to politics in recent years.

The Contract with Conservatives is that pledge. It is a pledge to uphold the major conservative ideals that have been pushed aside over the past decade.

We, the undersigned, will support our presidential nominee and other candidates for high office, only if they uphold the Contract with Conservatives.

It is time to get back to basics. The conservative base will work for candidates who pledge to uphold conservative values.
