Agenda items are to discuss a Veteran's Day fundraiser, choosing another Wisconsin soldier's troop from AnySoldier.com, and reporting on the successful fundraiser for our sponsored troop. The St. Croix Valley Republican Women's Club is a Unit Club of the Wisconsin Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women for St. Croix County and Pierce County. Presently, there are 26 Unit Clubs in Wisconsin with approximately 1100 members. The WFRW provides volunteers for local campaigns, and as the educational arm of the Republican Party, instructs its members in campaign techniques for use in electing Republicans to public office.

County Republicans Host State Chairman

County Republicans host state chairman
The St. Croix County Republican Party will host its summer picnic Sunday, Aug. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Prospect Park pavilion. All interested Republicans and conservatives from western Wisconsin are invited to attend the event.

The chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, Reince Priebus, will be the keynote speaker. Other invited guest speakers include State Sen. Sheila Harsdorf, Reps. Kitty Rhoades and John Murtha.

“We always have fun at our outdoor meetings,” said St. Croix County Republican Chairman Dean Knudson. “Reince Priebus brings a renewed focus on listening to the grass roots of our party. He will be traveling the state for listening sessions over the next few months. We’re glad he chose to make Hudson his western Wisconsin stop. Bring your ideas and questions and have a free hotdog.”

Priebus was elected chairman of the state Republicans after serving as vice chair and treasurer. He is past chairman of the 1st Congressional District Republican Party. Priebus graduated from University of Miami School of Law and practices law in Milwaukee. He is a frequent panelist on Charlie Sykes’ television show and guest legal analyst on SE Wisconsin radio stations.
